Mack Update

Today is the first day of my last week of maternity leave.  I'm really going to miss hanging out all day with my little man!  But enough sighing and wishing time didn't always go by so fast, here's the latest news about our Mackey:

He really likes his bathtime now!  It's so cute.  He kicks his little legs and smiles.  He doesn't even really mind when water runs over his face, though his eyes do get really big when that happens.  We've even taken a couple of family baths with Mack in our big tub and he seems to really like those, too.  We let him "float" on his back with our support and he was perfectly fine having his little ears under water.  He gets really mad when bathtime is over though.  I'm not sure if it's because he doesn't want to get out of the bath or just because he's cold - probably both.  (I don't have any new naked baby pictures to share, sorry!)

Mack is really becoming a very smiley little guy.  Here's a (sideways) video of his smileyness:

He's also gotten pretty darn strong as well.  He can hold his head up for a really long time all by himself and oftentimes he doesn't even bob his head around like he's drunk like he is here :-)

And lastly, he's finding his hands and feet!  It's really funny because he goes cross-eyed and stares at his hands or tries to fold himself in half looking at his feet.  He doesn't quite understand what he's seeing and quickly forgets about them but he definitely checks them out and seems to realize they're something very important.

Working from home

We got a preview of what life will be like for Richard in two weeks after I go back to work. This is him trying to get some coaching done while I was eating some lunch and needed my two hands for myself:

Mack apparently shares his parents' aversion to work. Ha ha!
