Vocabulary

Mack is a man of few words...but lots of noise! He has really become a "talker" over the past week. Nothing makes much sense but we can get the general gist of what he means based off his body language and tone. He will babble continuously as if he's carrying on a conversation with us. He'll even "sing" once in a while.

Mack's words that we know he says:
- Mama
- Ball!
- Dada
- Papa (always in a whisper)
- Baaaah (bottle, somes "baaaah duh")
- Craaaahkuh (cracker)
- Cookie
- No no ("nyuh nyuh")
- "Mah" (for mine and means phone)
- Wa wa (for wagon, swing, and slide)
- Cah coo cah coo (car keys)
- Ahwah (alright)
- Boo boo (for a boo boo)
- Buh buh or boo beh (blueberry...or any berry or grapes for that matter)
- Kaka (our neighbor Nicky)
- Vvvvvv gaka (for our friend Vicky)
- Nanner nanner (banana)
- Ella ella ella (for his storytime friend Ella)

Words that we think he says:
- Juice (dyoos)
- Yes (yish)
- Please (yees)

Things Mack says that we do not understand at all:
- Ints (usually says this while pointing - but not at an object, just in a general direction - never at the same type of thing though...)
- Gipgah (this was one of Mack's first words, might mean good job?)

Mack also has a few signs: more, please, hungry, the wheels on the bus go round and round...

Speaking of the wheels on the bus - Mack loves a bus! He got to ride on a bus for the first time after our zoo trip last Thursday. The look of wonder and excitement on Mackey's precious face as we boarded that bus was priceless. I think that was his favorite part of the trip and he was completely devastated when the bus ride through the parking lot was over.

I love it! Thanks for posting this. I remember this with my older kids. I love the face they make when they finally have the word to describe what they want.
